The Mental Health Project is held on two municipals of Kinondoni and Temeke in  Dar es Salaam in which each municipal has three selected wards that in Temeke are Buza, Mbagala and Chang’ombe while in Kinondoni the included wards are Kijitonyama, Makumbusho and Msasani. The project  aimed at providing education, creating awareness on mental health challenges, and distributing a mental health guide tailored for youth and community health leaders. The project was born out of a growing recognition of the mental health crisis among youth, exacerbated by social pressures, unemployment, family dynamics, and limited access to professional care and information that most youth face in their community. This joint initiative reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to promoting youth well-being, empowering local communities, and enhancing the capacity of health service providers to address mental health issues effectively. The project is  structured to provide in-depth information about the project, introduce practical tools for mental health awareness, and foster cooperation between stakeholders at the ward and district level. In this project 30 youth mentors five from each ward will be given educated  on mental health issues with a satisfied psychologist and thereafter will be given certificates award and the opportunity to train other youth mentees in their communities.
