Tanzania Youth Coalition (TYC) and Deutsch-Tansanische Partnerschaft e.V. (DTP), located in Hamburg (Germany) collaborate in a two years framework. TYC and DTP work for a sustainable, peaceful and just world. They support and promote young people’s willingness to a voluntary commitment and want to support and accompany young Tanzanian volunteers as well as to stimulate their reflection during the volunteer program by providing a wide language- and seminar program and by being available contact persons at any time.
The volunteer program is a one-year program for volunteers to learn and work in organizations in Germany in social fields where they have the opportunity to collect intercultural experiences and share ideas of different educational backgrounds.
The role of TYC? TYC is the Tanzanian coordinating organisation for the volunteer program. In collaboration with DTP, they identify and recruit suitable personnel for the position of the volunteer’s mentor as well as of the Tanzanian volunteers. Handle basic logistical arrangements for volunteers in Tanzania, prepare and organise the preparation seminar in DSM, communication with volunteers, and prepare reports are other responsibilities for TYC in this project.
