Introduction

The CARE Climate Justice Center, the Global Center on Adaptation, and CARE Country Offices across 10 African Countries are partnering to develop a youth toolkit, handbook and 10-week online ‘train the trainers’ course on leadership and climate adaptation. The toolkit aims to empower youth (15-35) to engage in climate change adaptation policy-making and action. The handbook and online ‘train the trainers’ course will cover the toolkit modules in-depth and provide capacity-strengthening to Youth Organizations and NGOs working with youth to train their peers. From May 2023, the Youth Organizations will train 10,000 youth on climate adaptation policy and action.
